Early Life

Wynonna Judd was born Christina Claire Ciminella in Ashland, Kentucky on May 30, 1964. Naomi Judd, a singer, was her mother. Ashley Judd, her younger half-sister, is an actress. Naomi and Michael divorced by 1972, when the family relocated to Los Angeles. Wynonna and Naomi were living in Kentucky in 1976, when Wynonna was inspired by the country music her mother was often playing and began to play the guitar after receiving one for Christmas.

Career

Judd signed with MCA Records as a solo artist after the duo split up. At the American Music Awards in 1992, she performed alone for the first time on television.

Wynonna released her fifth solo album, “New Day Dawning,” in 1999. “What the World Needs Now Is Love,” her sixth studio album, was released in 2003, and the lead singles did well. A cover of Elvis Presley’s “Burning Love” was included among the tunes. In 2005,
